Happy Easter 2016
It's a stressful time of year for eggs. Keep that in mind when you're gorging yourself on chocolate. Happy Easter!

Flower Meanings
I have not uploaded a cartoon in what seems like ages, as I'm currently residing overseas. Hence the poor inking and colouring on this too (as I'm trying to work out using new equipment). Enjoy!

Dressgate
Blue and black. Then white and gold. Then back to blue and black. Oh gosh. This stupid dress has driven me insane. I don't know what to believe anymore...

Waiter
Story of my life. This happens all the time now. I hate when waiters don't write down your order. Like seriously, what are you trying to prove? That you have an awesome memory? You're not impressing anyone - especially when you mess it up.
Rant over.

2013 Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Awards
Exciting news! Remember that graphic short story, The Baby Possum, that I drew up a while ago? It was shortlisted in the 2013 Lord Mayor’s Creative Writing Awards!

Here are the judges' comments:
"A bright, well written, and clearly and simply cartooned story, with a very enjoyable twist in its tail. The colours and narrative really pop."Very exciting news! In case you missed it, here's the graphic short story reproduced below:

The Baby Possum: A Graphic Short Story
By Edwin Tan (c) 2013
This was based on a true story.
I've been working on this project over the last month or so. Although I'm glad I managed to get it all done, I find I'm way too impatient to do long stories like this. The story idea and drawing the roughs was fine - but when it came to drawing it all properly and inking and colouring it, it just became a tad arduous and dull. I much prefer the immediacy of single panel gags. So consider this short story a rare treat, dear readers.

He Who Thinks With His Head
By Edwin Tan (c) 2013
Another illustrated quote. The English translation: "He who thinks with his head, does not pay with his pocket." i.e. Thinking saves you money. So essentially, you can pay bills by using your brain (my cartoonist interpretation).
