10. Lab Coats

Yeah, so when I first got the privilege to wear a lab coat at work I was totally stoked. I did the whole pushing the double doors open and shouting: "We need 10 cc of adrenaline, stat!"

I didn't really, but I secretly wanted to. I'm way too professional for that.

The novelty of course wore off as soon as I had to leave the pharmacy and walk down the corridor, where I was cornered by members of the public asking me for directions to various clinics. For some reason 'lab coat' = 'knowledgeable, coherent and helpful member of staff.' Here's a tip: no it doesn't. In reality, 'lab coat' = 'I don't need to iron my shirt anymore.'
